About Antony Marsh
I’ve been working in “Agile” for ten years – first as the director of a suite of web app development projects at Victoria University where the developers introduced me to Agile, and a great romance began. Like all romances it has had its ups and downs, but its still the single thread that has run through my career ever since.
I now work as an executive level Agile coach helping organisations in Indonesia and Southeast Asia to move towards Agile and lean practices and mindsets.
In the interim I worked as a business analyst, software team leader, iteration manager, scrum master and agile/lean coach in industries including education, medical product development, energy retail, B2B, insurance, embedded software, tech startups and banking.
I focus especially on Agile and Lean leadership through workshops, facilitation and mentoring. I believe that leaders must commit to the change – and change their own patterns of leadership and management to empower and enable the teams they serve. I still like to get my hands dirty with development teams now and then as required.
Oh, I’m keen on Scrum, XP, LeSS, and Kanban – but I’m Agile agnostic. I follow Alastair Cockburn’s Heart of Agile – Collaborate, Deliver, Reflect, Improve. What it comes down to is experimentation, feedback loops, transparency and teamwork.
